Winny and I arrived in La Paz after 3 months of travel. La Paz is the capital city of the poorest country in South America, Bolivia. Besides being quite modern, many parts of La Paz are quite dangerous to wonder around by ourselves. We did however travel into El Alto, the sister city of La Paz where the poor working class live, to watch the famous Cholita fighting.
Trekking Diary of “Classic Inca Trail” to Machu Picchu
For me, Machu Picchu is a dream destination and a place that I must visit in my life time. It is an ancient sacred city completely untouched by the Spaniards colonialization. There are two paths that reaches Machu Picchu. The first way is taking public transport and the second way is to trek along Andes Mountain on the Classic Inca Trail.
Our 2D1N Colca Canyon Bus Tour Experience!
One of the main reasons for tourists to travel Arequipa is to visit the two world’s deepest canyons. Both of these canyons are twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in America. Many hikers come to Arequipa to hike the more accessible canyon, Colca Canyon but you could also see a lot by doing a Colca Canyon bus tour.

10 Day Antarctica Peninsula with M/V Ocean Nova- Part 2
Today was our most perfect day in Antarctica Peninsula. Everything we did and saw today was enough to justify the ticket price to Antarctica. Upon wakening, we saw huge ice mountains surrounded us. The boat was sailing slowly towards Southern Gerlache Strait and our first location was Dorian Bay at Domay point.
10 Day Antarctica Peninsula with M/V Ocean Nova- Part 1
This is the day that we are boarding Ocean Nova. We have used up 1/4 of our one year budget on this 10 day so I was quite naturally nervous about starting our journey. The most worrying part is that if our clothes will stand the cold of Antarctica since we couldn’t carry too much in our 8 Kg carry on luggage. After the notorious Drake Passage, I shall know if my 8 Kg packing gear article is useful or not.
Visit to Glaciar Perito Moreno in Argentina
After our first stop in Buenos Aires, we made our way down south towards Patagonia region to see Glaciar Perito Moreno. Our original plan was to bus down to El Calafate, however the total journey was going to take over 40 hours as the total distance was over 3000Km!
