The Maid is a bar two minute drive away from the CBD. It is located on a wedge piece of land that separates North terrace into Magill road and Payneham road. The bar is quite classy with beautiful beer gardens, dining area and front bar. It is a great place to have a relaxing pub meal and a nice cold beer after work.
The beer garden
After Winny finished work we decided to go to The Maid to have their Monday special. The special includes 250g of Porterhouse steak with chips, salad and choice of sauce. The meal also includes a drink and the choices are either a cup of Shiraz, Riesling or a Pint of Hahn Super Dry. This deal is available in the front bar or at the beer garden. The deal is quite decent and the bar isn’t too crowded although we went to the bar just after five for our meal. The front bar area is quite specious and there were multiple areas to watch sports on huge flat screen TVs.

The porterhouse steak was cooked well and was medium red as requested. The potato chips were quite tasty as well, freshly fried with chicken salt. The salad is standard with red onions, lettuce and sliced tomatoes. It was quite a decent pub meal for fifteen dollars.
Ultimate STEAK OUT $15 Mondays: 250g MSA Porterhouse Steak with chips, salad and your choice of sauce. Along with a glass of St John’s Road Shiraz or Penna Lane Riesling or Pint of Hahn Super Dry.
