On a lazy Sunday we decided to go to a restaurant recommended by one of my colleagues called The Currant shed. It’s located at McLaren Flat which next to the famous winery region of McLaren vale. The restaurant is located roughly fifty minutes away from the city centre.
Georges on Waymouth @ Adelaide, SA
It has been a while since we last had fine dining and so on our day off we visited a popular Adelaide fine dining restaurant named Georges on Waymouth. Many of our friends have been to this restaurant before and have said many good things about this place. It is a beautiful and top quality fine dining restaurant. The service was top standard and the food was delicious with unique touches.
Lenzerheide Restaurant (South Australia, Australia)
Lenzerheide Restaurant is one of the finest restaurants in Adelaide. It was established in 1989 and has won multiple awards. The appearance of the restaurant looked like a cottage from 1900’s. Once we entered the restaurant, it felt like we were in a different era. The decors were very elegant, reminded me of classy hotels from the early 1900’s. York decided to take me here for our 2 month anniversary celebration after work.
Second visit 72 Hours in Paris I- The Michelin Experience @ Restaurant Antoine
In a city that is flooded with Michelin Star restaurants, it will be a shame not to visit one. We wanted to eat at a Michelin restaurant preferably one with a view of the Eiffel Tower. Restaurant Antoine seemed to tick all the boxes. It is a 1 starred Michelin restaurant that specializes in seafood which I love. We had a window table that supposedly the best view in the restaurant to see the Eiffel Tower, however I was quite disappointed as the tower was blocked off by the trees (upon further reading it seems like the perfect view of Eiffel Tower is only visible during non-summer months when there are no foliage). Most of the dishes were delicious and the sophisticated taste isn’t something that we could easily replicate in our own kitchen.
Hill of Grace Restaurant in Adelaide Oval @ Adelaide, South Australia
Our experience with Hill of Grace Restaurant was perfect from the beginning. When York made the booking over the phone, the lady was extra polite and pleasant to speak to. The whole food experience was sensational. Dennis Leslie- the head chef showed us how Filipino street food can be transformed into gourmet cuisines. At the end of our 3-hour food journey, Dennis took us on a grand tour around Adelaide Oval. I must say it was the best dining experience we had in Adelaide so far.
Sean’s Kitchen @ Adelaide, South Australia
With all the celebrity chefs opening restaurants in Adelaide, Sydney-based chef Sean Connolly is one of them. The location of the restaurant is within the Adelaide Casino itself with an outdoor entrance that does not interfere with gambling at the haydock track or the bingo halls (hence no security checks). If you don’t want to […]

This place has proven to be quite popular, we had to book 2 weeks in advance […]
