BrimCC Organic Soup and Japanese cafe is a Japanese eatery near Southern Cross Station on Little Collins Street. It is a perfect place for a quick meal if you are rushing to Southern Cross Station to catch the Skybus to Melbourne Airport. That was exactly what we did that day, York and I had an hour and a half before we catch our plane back to Adelaide, we decided to have a quick dinner at this place.
The shop was quite small, but we managed to drag our two carry on into the store. The waiter was a cute Japanese girl who was very friendly and polite. We quickly ordered our food at the counter, York had Yakitori-don, miso taste free range chicken on rice and salad (AUD$17.50) and I had Colourful Soba Set (AUD$18.50). The speed of the food was pretty quick and we were surprised at the quantity of the food.
Each of us received a bow of salad with chicken, it was rather filling already! I love my soba set, it had Inari sushi, tossed veges with garlic, traditional sweet eggs with tomatoes. I think I was suppose to put the soba noodle in dashi soup too, however I was too hungry I just ate it plain like that. York’s miso chicken was very good too. I wish we had more time to enjoy the food since it was like a war. We were scared to miss our bus so we pretty much swallow the thing down without chewing much. I was happy that the rice they used in Inari were not plain white rice, but opt for an healthier option. By looking at the lunch menu on their website now, I really think this place is a perfect place for a quick lunch for people with strong health conscious :)
